________
During the summer of 2020, David Cherry, president of The Leaders Network of Chicago reached out to Pastor Carl McCluster of Shiloh Baptist Church in Bridgeport, Connecticut to discuss how clergy across the nation can resurrect a collective moral voice in light of the polarizing Presidential election of 2020 and escalating gun violence. Beginning in 2021 with ministers in Bridgeport, Chicago, Colorado Springs, Maryland, and New York, the National Faith Leaders Collaborative initiated a prayer campaign across the country to Save the Soul of America as envisioned by Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The NFLC is an emerging 501C3 organization that is building a coalition of faith leaders across the country to promote moral transformation in the social and political arena, and campaign for an end to gun violence, poverty, racism, and economic injustice that plagues urban America.
